 The Azerbaijan Republic, Georgia and Republic of Turkey have agreed to implement
the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Crude Oil Pipeline (BTC Pipeline) Project. BTC Co is
comprised of BP (Operator), SOCAR (Azerbaijan), TPAO (Turkey), Statoil (Norway),
Unocal (USA), Itochu (Japan), Amerada Hess (USA), Eni (Italy), TOTAL (France),
INPEX (Japan) and Conoco Phillips (USA). This dedicated crude oil pipeline
system will transport Caspian crude oil from Sangachal in Azerbaijan, to Ceyhan,
Turkey, with marine access to international markets. The Turkish section of the
BTC Pipeline (1,076km) starts in the northeast at the Georgian Border in Ardahan
and terminates at Cehyan in Adana and passes through ten provinces in Turkey.
