Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Pipeline Company (BTC Company) unveiled projects that will be implemented as part of the second phase of Community Investment Program aiming to support sustainable development along BTC pipeline. The investment of $ 3.8 million dollars is being made to implement development projects in five provinces (Sivas, Kayseri, Kahramanmaraş, Osmaniye, Adana).

Building on the successes of BTC Community Investment Programme’s first phase projects implemented in Ardahan, Kars, Erzurum, Erzincan and Gümüşhane provinces, BTC Company is now starting the second phase of the program of sustainable rural development activities in central and southern parts of the pipeline.

On 15 December 2003, a request was made for proposals for the second phase of CIP, and a two-stage application and evaluation process was implemented to determine projects that will be supported. Following the evaluation of bids, 3 projects that will be financed by BTC Company have been determined. Contracts with Implementing Partners were signed in October 2004.
