The overall objective of the BTC Co Azerbaijan CIP is:

“To promote sustainable social and economic development in the communities along the BTC Pipeline route in Azerbaijan”

Aim is to support projects that are sustainable and which bring long-term benefits to the regions affected by the Pipeline.
  • The programme will operate along the entire route of the proposed pipeline in a 4 km corridor – 2 km on either side of the pipeline.
  • The CIP will work beyond the mitigation of immediate impacts from the construction of the pipeline.

What We Do

The CIP is being implemented in three countries with a total of US $25 million committed for Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey. Azerbaijan receives US $8 million for CIP.

The Objective of BTC Azerbaijan Community Investment Programme is to promote sustainable social and economic development in the communities along the pipeline route.

The current funding is for the construction phase of the pipeline and there are plans to make funding available for during the operational phase of the pipeline. Please click here for further information on what we do.
