International Medical Corps is a global humanitarian non-profit organization dedicated to improving lives and relieving suffering through community based relief and development programmes. Established in 1984 by volunteer United States doctors and nurses in response to the war in Afghanistan, International Medical Corps is a private, voluntary organization. Its mission is to improve people’s quality of life through community based social development programs that build local and national capacity in areas worldwide. International Medical Corps has worked in Azerbaijan from May of 2000.

CCP was founded in 1997. Since that time, CCP has evolved into an independent national NGO registered with the Ministry of Justice. CCP currently operates a diagnostic and treatment center for eye care in Baku for vulnerable people and provides outreach services to districts with support from international donors. All CCP medical services are provided free or at extremely low prices – just enough to keep their clinic operational and able to offer high quality care.
