MADAD
 The Project, implemented by the National NGO MADAD with the financial assistance
from BTC/SCP and Ministry of Information Technology and Communication promotes
the education and participation of moderate young Azeri people, living in
communities along BTC/SCP Pipelines Project route, in civic processes by
addressing three of the major problems identified:

values and goals through civic education and engagement between young people in
other countries;
- Increasing the quality of and access to education, particularly for girls
and people with physical disabilities, through the introduction of Information
Communication Technology (ICT) into schools, narrowing the digital divide and
supporting young people in the development of skills relevant to information
economies;
- Ensuring the effective utilization of ICT through the provision of
specialized training to teachers and the creation of innovative, online
education materials for civic education and collaborative learning.
The duration of the project is twelve months. The Project Goals shall
be achieved through the accomplishment of the following objectives:

with 24 hour access to Internet, including all relevant hardware, software and
peripheral equipment, in 10 secondary schools along the AGT Pipelines Project
route;

Trainers previously trained by an expert from the United States of America. Each
lead teacher shall subsequently provide training to a minimum of four of their
colleagues in each school. Grantee’s existing teacher training curriculum,
localized to Azeri context, approved and certified by the Ministry of Education,
shall be the standard training tool;
- To enhance the capacity (knowledge and/or skills) of 5,000 students in civil
society issues such as cross-cultural awareness, volunteerism, conflict
resolution and human rights, by involving the students in educational projects.
A minimum of 20 projects shall be organized during the project period (2 per
school);
- To develop closer ties between schools and parental associations, through
various activities and events, to emphasize their roles in the academic life of
their children;
- To increase the quality and quantity of educational resources and tools
accessible through information technology and to support involvement of youth in
the above described projects;
- To create school and national program website for displaying progress of the
Project, participants work and as a communication interface for online
collaboration;
